Flexible palletizing for changing products and pallet configurations

As labor costs continue to rise and production lines operate at ever-higher speeds, manufacturers are increasingly turning to automated palletizing solutions. At the same time, maintaining product integrity and load stability remains critical, while flexibility is required to handle multiple container formats with fast, efficient changeovers.

Delta Engineering’s range of palletizers (semi-)automatically stacks rigid plastic bottles, containers, and jerrycans with high precision and repeatability. Our systems support a wide variety of pallet sizes, layer patterns, and dunnage configurations, providing the flexibility needed for diverse production environments. Capable of handling speeds of up to 40,000 BPH, they minimize manual intervention while ensuring stable, reliable pallet loads.

Semi-automatic flexible palletizers

Our standalone semi-automatic palletizers offer a flexible and versatile solution for a wide range of applications. They can stack trays, slip sheets, and hoods while building pallet loads up to half height. With their compact footprint and cost-effective design, they provide an ideal entry point into automated palletizing and are particularly well suited for custom blow molding operations running at low to medium production speeds.

Fully automatic tray palletizers

Our fully automatic standalone tray palletizers are designed for medium- and high-speed palletizing of containers. These standardized systems can be equipped with a wide range of options, including handling of different tray sizes, hood application, automatic pallet infeed and outfeed, AGV integration, and many other features. They can also be combined with complementary equipment such as automatic tray formers.

Standalone palletizers for stackable cans

To palletize stackable cans without the need for slip sheets, we have developed a fully automatic palletizer specifically designed for the requirements of this market. The recipe-driven system automatically orients containers to achieve the stacking patterns required by the customer, ensuring stable and consistent pallet loads.

Modular palletizers: layer-forming units

The first step in a modular palletizing system is creating a layer that will be transferred by the palletizing robot. At Delta Engineering, we offer a range of high-speed layer-forming units that integrate seamlessly into the production line and are designed to match the output of modern blow molding equipment.

Modular palletizers: dunnage components

We have a variety of dunnage handling modules to automate the supply and placement of intermediate layers such as sheets, trays, hoods, and top frames during palletizing. These systems ensure accurate positioning and repeatable performance, even at increasing speeds, while integrating smoothly into modular palletizing and buffering lines.

Modular palletizers: linear palletizing robot

Our modular linear palletizing unit builds pallet loads through controlled, step-by-step linear movements. It is ideally suited for stacking bags, trays, containers, or complete layers where flexibility, precise positioning, and integration with upstream collating or bagging systems are required.

Modular palletizers: rotary palletizing robot

Our modular rotary palletizing unit stacks products across multiple pallet positions arranged in a circular layout. This configuration combines a compact footprint with high flexibility while maintaining smooth, servo-controlled movements for precise and stable pallet building.

Modular palletizers: integrated solutions

At Delta Engineering, we create fully integrated palletizing solutions by combining palletizers with pallet dispensing, pallet conveying, strapping, safety systems, and other end-of-line equipment. By ensuring seamless interaction between all components, these systems maximize efficiency, reliability, and overall palletizing performance.
